ART CITIES EXCHANGE – Rome, 19th edition

The 19th edition of Federalberghi’s Art Cities Exchange, taken care of by Comitel & Partners, has recently ended, producing the biggest b2b networking of tourism operators in Rome in the year 2017.

The event took place from the 30th November to the 3rd December at The Church Resort (the workshop was held at The Church Village, while the 80 foreign buyers stayed at The Church Palace Hotel).

During the 2-day workshop (1st and 2nd December), over 3,000 b2b meetings took place, with a turnover of € 9,000,000 between buyers (international tour operators) and the 110 Italian suppliers who came to Rome to participate in this important event.

Tourism operators, hotels, hotel chains, incoming tour operators and travel agencies, DMCs, coach operators, tourism consortiums, outlets, theme parks, historic villas, festivals, museums and public authorities: all the above well represented the beauty of Italy during the 2 days in Rome.

Thanks to Roma Capitale, the buyers were given the opportunity to visit the Ara Pacis and experience alternative tourist attractions to be developed in their future offer for Italy.
On Saturday afternoon, the 2nd December, thanks to 5 different team building activities organized by Acampora Travel and Gartour Destination Italia, the buyers were given a focus on Golf, Italian cuisine, Italian wines and cinema.

The sponsors of ACE’S 19th Edition - Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Veneto and the Autonomous Province of Trento – had direct meetings with the 83 buyers of the Leisure, Luxury and MICE segments, in order to promote and revamp the Italian tourism.

The event was made possible thanks to the good cooperation of Roma Capitale, Regione Lazio, Regione Friuli Venezia Giulia, Regione Veneto, the Autonomous Province of Trento, Acampora Travel, Gartour-Destination Italia, the Church resort, the hotel Eitch Borromini – Palazzo Pamphilj and with the patronage of the ENIT.
